tldr: out of 12 coworking spaces, my top 3 are 91springboard baner (best community), wework eleven west (best premium), and the daftar (best budget). spent about rs 40k on day passes and short-term memberships testing all of them. full honest comparison below.

i work from cafes, coworking spaces, and occasionally my bed (no judgment).

over the past year, i’ve tested almost every notable coworking space in pune. not as a tourist doing a 2-hour “review” - i actually worked full days from each one. took calls, joined meetings, wrote code, ate their snacks, used their bathrooms (yes, this matters), and tested their wifi with speed tests.

because here’s what i’ve learned: every coworking space looks great on instagram. the real test is whether you can actually get work done there for 8 hours without wanting to scream.

i’ve already reviewed 29 cafes in pune including the best ones for working. this is the dedicated coworking comparison for when you need something more structured than a cafe table.

premium spaces (where the money goes)

1. wework eleven west

baner / day pass: rs 750 / hot desk: rs 12,000/month / 9/10

wework eleven west pune image: unsplash

let’s get the elephant out of the room: wework is expensive. but it’s also genuinely premium.

the eleven west location in baner is spread across multiple floors. the interiors are what you’d expect from wework - floor-to-ceiling glass, design-forward furniture, phone booths, nap rooms, beer on tap (yes, really), and a rooftop terrace.

wifi consistently clocked 80-100 mbps down. the desks are spacious. the chairs are ergonomic (not the “ergonomic” that means slightly padded - actually good herman miller-style chairs). meeting rooms can be booked through the app. the coffee is unlimited and decent (not great, but drinkable).

the community is a mix of funded startups, remote workers from MNCs, and freelancers who like nice things. networking events happen regularly.

the catch: rs 750 for a day pass is steep when awfis does rs 350. the monthly hot desk at rs 12,000 is 40% more than 91springboard. phone booths are always occupied. and the printer situation is annoying - always a queue. also, the wework futura location (2,50,000 sq ft, 3,300 seats) is more corporate and less cozy.

verdict: best premium coworking in pune. if you have client meetings or need to impress, this is your spot. day pass bundles bring the per-day cost down - look for the 50% off first-day-pass offer for new users.

2. cowrks

baner / day pass: rs 500 / hot desk: rs 10,000/month / 8/10

cowrks coworking baner pune image: unsplash

cowrks is trusted by some serious names - amazon, cisco, siemens, razorpay. and you can tell. the space has a corporate polish that feels reassuring.

22 locations across six cities. the baner location is well-designed with plenty of natural light. dedicated phone booths, well-equipped meeting rooms, and a concierge desk that actually handles things (courier, pantry requests, tech support).

wifi was stable at 50-70 mbps. the chairs are good. air conditioning is consistent (this sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many spaces get this wrong).

the catch: the vibe is corporate. if you’re a freelancer or creative, you might feel out of place. the community events are more “corporate mixer” than “startup jam.” pricing is mid-premium.

verdict: best for people who want a professional, corporate-feeling workspace without the wework price tag. solid choice for small teams.

mid-range spaces (best balance)

3. 91springboard

baner, yerwada / day pass: rs 400 / hot desk: rs 8,700/month (yerwada) to rs 12,500/month (baner) / 8.5/10

91springboard baner pune image: unsplash

this is my favorite coworking space in pune. not because it’s the fanciest (it’s not), but because the community is genuinely excellent.

91springboard was built for startups and it shows. the people here are founders, early-stage teams, freelancers figuring things out. the networking isn’t forced - it just happens naturally in the pantry or during their regular events.

the baner location (sky loft) is newer and nicer. open seating, private cabins, meeting rooms, event spaces. wifi clocked 40-60 mbps. desks are comfortable. coffee machine is decent.

the yerwada location is older but cheaper (hot desk from rs 8,700/month). both locations have no lock-in period, which is huge. all amenities included in the listed cost.

they recently expanded with 6 new centres across mumbai, delhi-NCR, and pune, adding 1.7 lakh sq ft and nearly 3,600 additional desks.

the catch: the yerwada space is showing its age. some furniture needs replacing. the baner space can get noisy during events. if you need pin-drop silence, bring noise-cancelling headphones.

verdict: best community-driven coworking in pune. if you’re a startup founder or freelancer who values networking over aesthetics, this is where you belong. the no-lock-in-period policy is a massive plus.

4. awfis

baner, viman nagar (business mantri), magarpatta, seasons mall / day pass: rs 300-350 / hot desk: rs 7,500/month / 8/10

awfis coworking viman nagar pune image: unsplash

awfis is the “sensible choice.” it’s not flashy, not cheap, not exciting - it’s just consistently good.

the viman nagar location at business mantri is their best pune outlet. 15,450 sq ft with 430+ workstations. close to pune airport. modern meeting rooms, high-speed wifi (50-70 mbps), ergonomic chairs, AC, printing, pantry - all the basics done well.

the day pass at rs 300-350 is the best value for occasional use in pune. you get wifi, a desk, AC, printing, and pantry access. no commitment.

the catch: the spaces feel a bit generic. there’s no personality or community vibe. you come, you work, you leave. the meeting rooms can be noisy if the walls are thin. some locations (seasons mall) are better than others.

verdict: best for no-nonsense working. if you don’t care about community or aesthetics and just want a reliable desk with fast wifi, awfis delivers. the day pass pricing is unbeatable for the quality.

5. sprint

koregaon park, baner / day pass: rs 350 / hot desk: rs 7,500/month / 7.5/10

sprint covers the range from koregaon park to baner with workspaces for startups, creatives, and enterprises. they offer hot desks, dedicated desks, and fully managed offices.

the koregaon park location has a nice vibe - leafy area, good restaurants nearby. the space itself is clean and functional. wifi was reliable at 40-50 mbps.

the catch: smaller than 91springboard or awfis. fewer meeting rooms. the baner location is newer and better maintained than koregaon park. community events are less frequent.

verdict: good local option especially in koregaon park. walkable to great cafes in koregaon park for a lunch break.

budget-friendly spaces

6. the daftar

aundh, baner / day pass: rs 300 / private office from: rs 6,000/month / 8.5/10

the daftar coworking pune image: unsplash

the daftar is pune’s OG coworking space and it still holds up. the largest coworking space in pune with 150 seats across two locations.

what i love: they offer part-time plans, monthly plans, private cabins, cool hours (night coworking - for the night owls), conference rooms, and event spaces. the recreation zone is actually used (not just decorative). high-speed wifi, tea and coffee included, full pantry, parking, storage space.

the community is indie - freelancers, designers, writers, small agencies. the vibe is creative and relaxed. this is not a corporate space.

the catch: the interiors aren’t instagram-worthy. functional, not fashionable. smaller than the chains. if you need to impress a corporate client, this might not be the right backdrop.

verdict: best budget coworking in pune. the private office at rs 6,000/month is absurdly cheap for what you get. the night coworking option is unique. if you’re a freelancer or small team, this is your spot.

7. devx

shivaji nagar (ICC complex, MCCIA towers), baner (solitaire business park) / day pass: rs 400 / hot desk: rs 7,000/month / 7.5/10

devx coworking pune image: unsplash

devx is built specifically for startups. ergonomically designed, ready-to-move-in spaces in prime commercial areas.

the shivaji nagar location at MCCIA towers is well-connected. the baner location at solitaire business park is more spacious. both have good wifi, meeting rooms, and the usual amenities.

they run mentorship programs and startup events which is a genuine differentiator. if you’re building something, the network here can help.

the catch: the spaces feel a bit cookie-cutter. the community is more tech startup focused which can be limiting. fewer locations than awfis or 91springboard.

verdict: best for tech startups specifically. the mentorship angle is genuine and useful.

8. bhive workspace

hadapsar / day pass: rs 250 / hot desk: rs 6,000/month / 7/10

bhive coworking pune image: unsplash

india’s leading coworking provider with their pune outpost in hadapsar. the day pass is the cheapest on this list at rs 250 (and they occasionally run promotions as low as rs 75-150).

the space includes coworking desks, managed private offices, fixed desks, meeting rooms, and virtual office services. wifi is good. the basics are covered.

the catch: hadapsar location limits accessibility for much of pune. the space is standard, not premium. fewer community events than competitors.

verdict: cheapest day pass in pune. good if you’re in hadapsar or east pune. the promotional pricing is genuinely incredible when available.

corporate / enterprise spaces

9. regus

baner, kharadi, magarpatta city / hot desk: rs 9,000/month / private office: rs 10,000-30,000/month / 7.5/10

regus is the global giant. 100+ centres across india. the spaces are functional and professional. everything works. nothing surprises you.

good for people who travel across cities and want consistent workspace access (your membership works at any regus worldwide). the virtual office service is useful for company registration.

the catch: zero personality. it feels like a corporate office, because it basically is one. no community, no events, no vibe. you’re paying for reliability and the address. expensive for what you get compared to local options.

verdict: best for corporate professionals and businesses that need a national/global presence. not for freelancers or creatives.

10. smartworks

kharadi / day pass: rs 400 / hot desk: rs 8,000/month / 7/10

large-format coworking with enterprise focus. the kharadi location serves the IT corridor crowd well. good meeting rooms, reliable infrastructure, professional environment.

the catch: kharadi is far from central pune. the space is utilitarian. community is mostly corporate teams.

verdict: solid choice if you work in the kharadi IT corridor. not worth the commute from elsewhere.

11. worksquare

viman nagar / day pass: rs 300 / hot desk: rs 6,500/month / 7/10

a local pune coworking space near viman nagar. smaller than the chains but the pricing is competitive. clean space, good wifi, basic amenities covered.

the vibe is quiet and focused - fewer people means fewer distractions. good for deep work.

the catch: limited meeting room availability. small team, so support can be slower. no elaborate events or community programming.

verdict: good budget option in viman nagar. quiet, affordable, functional.

12. innov8

baner / day pass: rs 500 / hot desk: rs 9,000/month / 7.5/10

innov8 (by oyo workspaces) brings decent design to mid-range pricing. the baner location has good interiors, comfortable seating, and reliable wifi.

they offer day passes, hot desks, dedicated desks, and private cabins. the meeting rooms are well-equipped.

the catch: oyo’s involvement can be hit or miss. some locations are well-maintained, others less so. the community isn’t as strong as 91springboard or the daftar.

verdict: good mid-range option in baner. better interiors than awfis at a slightly higher price.

what i actually look for (the stuff reviews never mention)

  1. wifi speed test. bring your phone, run a speed test. if it’s under 30 mbps, don’t sign up. video calls will lag. i test at ookla speedtest.net every time.

  2. chair quality. you’re sitting 8 hours. if the chair makes your back hurt after 2 hours, nothing else matters. sit in the actual chair, don’t just look at it.

  3. noise levels at 2pm. the real test. morning is quiet everywhere. by afternoon, calls are happening, groups are discussing, doors are slamming. visit during peak hours.

  4. bathroom cleanliness. sounds trivial, is critical. if the bathrooms are dirty at 11am, imagine 5pm. this tells you everything about management quality.

  5. coffee quality. you’ll drink 3-4 cups a day. if the machine coffee is undrinkable, factor in the cost of buying coffee daily from outside. wework and 91springboard have passable coffee. the daftar’s chai is actually good.

  6. meeting room booking. how far in advance? how many included in your plan? are there extra charges? some spaces give you 2 hours free per month, others charge per hour. this adds up fast.

  7. day pass flexibility. can you walk in, or do you need to book 24 hours ahead? wework requires booking through the app. the daftar is more flexible.

cafe vs coworking: when to pick what

i know what you’re thinking. “why pay for coworking when cafes exist?“

here’s my rule:

  • need wifi + desk for 2-3 hours: go to a cafe. pagdandi, cafe kathaa, caffe & te.
  • need video calls: coworking. phone booths > cafe background noise.
  • need focus for 6+ hours: coworking. the structure helps.
  • need a business address / meeting room: coworking. no question.
  • on a tight budget: cafe or the daftar day pass.

if you work from bangalore or mumbai occasionally, many of these chains (wework, awfis, 91springboard, regus) give you access across cities.

the final word

pune’s coworking scene has exploded. five years ago, your options were a cafe or an office lease. now there are 50+ coworking spaces across the city, from rs 249/day to rs 22,000/month.

startup founder: 91springboard or devx. freelancer on a budget: the daftar. corporate professional: wework or cowrks. occasional day pass: awfis (rs 350) or bhive (rs 250). premium everything: wework eleven west. just need a desk + wifi: worksquare or awfis.

and if you need a haircut after a long work day, check out the best salons in pune. or hit one of the best gyms in pune to decompress. also worth checking out the pune libraries if you want a completely free workspace. and if you’re exploring more of pune, thrift stores and tattoo studios are covered too.

last updated: february 2026. coworking prices fluctuate constantly (promotional offers, festive discounts, annual plan deals). always verify current pricing directly with the space. if i missed your favorite coworking spot, let me know and i’ll check it out.
