best coworking spaces in mumbai (2026) - prices, locations, and honest reviews

tldr: out of 12 coworking spaces, my top 3 are wework bkc (best premium), 91springboard (best community + value), and ministry of new (best creative space). mumbai’s coworking scene is expensive but mature. the big tradeoff is location vs price - bkc costs 2x andheri for the same desk.
note: i’ve visited several of these during mumbai trips and spent full working days from a few. the rest is based on extensive research, friends who use these spaces daily, and cross-referencing pricing across platforms. i’ve been more hands-on with pune’s coworking scene since i live there, so use that as a baseline comparison.
mumbai’s coworking market is the most mature in india after bangalore. wework, 91springboard, awfis, regus - every major player has multiple locations here. the demand is real: mumbai has more freelancers, startup founders, and remote workers per square kilometer than any other indian city.
the challenge? everything in mumbai is about location. a coworking desk in bkc costs nearly double what the same desk costs in andheri. and the commute between areas can eat 2 hours of your day. so “best coworking space” in mumbai really means “best coworking space near where you live.”
i’ve organized this by area first, then by price within each area. because in mumbai, the first question is always “where in mumbai?“

| 11 | regus | multiple | rs 500 | rs 10,000 | rs 13,000 | rs 18,000 | 7/10 |

bkc (bandra-kurla complex)
bkc is mumbai’s corporate center. most major banks, consultancies, and tech offices are here. the coworking spaces reflect that - polished, premium, and priced accordingly. if your clients are in bkc, being here makes sense. if you’re a freelance writer who just needs wifi, you’re overpaying.
1. wework bkc
bkc / hot desk rs 16,000/month / day pass rs 750 / 9/10
wework’s bkc locations (they have multiple buildings here) are the most polished coworking spaces in mumbai. floor-to-ceiling windows with bkc views, ergonomic herman miller chairs, phone booths, meeting rooms bookable by the hour, and the kind of pantry that has oat milk.
the wifi is consistently fast (100+ mbps on every test). the community events are regular - networking sessions, founder talks, yoga classes. the clientele is a mix of funded startups, freelancers billing international clients, and corporate satellite teams.
the address matters in mumbai. “wework bkc” on your meeting invite signals something. if your business requires that signaling, the premium is justified.
the downside: rs 16,000/month for a hot desk is steep. you’re paying mumbai-premium on top of wework-premium. the spaces get crowded during peak hours (10am-4pm). meeting rooms need to be booked in advance.
verdict: best premium coworking in mumbai. the brand + location + quality trifecta. expensive but you get what you pay for.
3. 91springboard bkc
bkc / hot desk rs 12,000/month / day pass rs 500 / 8.5/10
91springboard is the startup-first alternative to wework. the bkc location is slightly less polished but significantly more community-driven. the founder networking here is genuine - people actually collaborate, not just share coffee machines.
the pricing is 25-30% cheaper than wework for a comparable setup. the wifi is reliable. the meeting rooms are available. the pantry is functional (no oat milk, but decent coffee).
what 91springboard does better than wework: events focused on actual business value. investor connect sessions, pitch practice, skill-sharing workshops. if you’re building something and need a network, 91springboard delivers more than just a desk.
verdict: best value premium coworking in bkc. 80% of wework at 70% of the price, plus better networking.
10. cowrks bkc
bkc / hot desk rs 13,000/month / day pass rs 600 / 7.5/10
cowrks targets the enterprise market. the space feels corporate - think glass partitions, meeting rooms with video conferencing setups, and a reception that looks like a tech company lobby. it’s not the most inspiring space for creative work, but it’s functional and well-maintained.
good for teams that need dedicated private offices with enterprise-grade infrastructure. less good for solo freelancers looking for community.
verdict: best for teams and corporate satellite offices. functional, not inspiring.
andheri
andheri is where mumbai’s coworking value lives. the spaces are 30-40% cheaper than bkc, the area has more food options for lunch, and the commute is manageable from most western suburbs. the trade-off: it’s andheri. the traffic, the noise, the chaos.
2. wework andheri east
andheri east / hot desk rs 14,000/month / day pass rs 700 / 8.5/10
same wework quality, rs 2,000/month cheaper than bkc. the andheri east location is near midc, well-connected by metro, and has the same amenities - ergonomic chairs, fast wifi, phone booths, event calendar.
the crowd here is slightly different from bkc. more tech startups, more digital agencies, fewer finance folks. the vibe is slightly more casual, which many people prefer.
if you need the wework brand but want to save money, this is the play. the difference in quality between andheri and bkc wework is minimal; the difference in rent is not.
verdict: best wework value in mumbai. same quality, less prestige, lower price.
8. bhive workspace
andheri east / hot desk rs 6,000/month / day pass rs 300 / 7.5/10
bhive is the budget play. rs 6,000/month for a hot desk with wifi, ac, and basic amenities. it’s not fancy. the furniture is functional, not ergonomic. the wifi is reliable but not blazing. the meeting rooms exist but need advance booking.
for freelancers and early-stage founders who just need a desk, wifi, and an address that isn’t their bedroom, bhive delivers. the andheri east location is near the metro, which helps.
don’t expect community events or networking. bhive is infrastructure, not ecosystem. that’s fine if infrastructure is what you need.
verdict: cheapest decent coworking in mumbai. zero frills, functional basics. the maruti of coworking.
9. gowork
andheri, bkc / hot desk rs 7,000/month / day pass rs 400 / 7.5/10
gowork sits between bhive and 91springboard in price and quality. the spaces are clean, well-lit, and have reliable wifi. the andheri location is spacious. the bkc location is smaller but well-positioned.
the pricing is transparent - no hidden charges. meeting room access is included for a few hours per month. the community is small but friendly.
verdict: solid mid-range option. nothing exceptional, nothing disappointing.
fort / south mumbai
south mumbai has character that bkc and andheri can’t match. heritage buildings, old bombay architecture, walkable neighborhoods. the coworking spaces here reflect that - smaller, more intimate, and often in restored heritage structures.
4. ministry of new
fort / hot desk rs 12,000/month / day pass rs 600 / 8.5/10
ministry of new is my favorite coworking space in mumbai, purely on vibes. housed in a heritage building in fort, it combines old bombay architecture (exposed brick, wooden beams, arched windows) with modern workspace infrastructure (high-speed wifi, standing desks, phone pods).
the community is curated - they focus on creative professionals, designers, architects, writers, and media folks. the events are interesting (design talks, film screenings, author readings). it’s coworking with a cultural layer.
the downside: it’s not cheap (rs 12,000/month) and the space is smaller than wework or 91springboard. if you need a 10-person meeting room, look elsewhere. but for solo work in an inspiring environment, ministry of new is unmatched.
verdict: best creative coworking in mumbai. the heritage space elevates the entire experience.
7. workwise
fort, lower parel / hot desk rs 9,000/month / day pass rs 400 / 7.5/10
workwise is the quiet, functional option in south mumbai. clean spaces, reliable wifi, basic amenities. no frills, no drama. the fort location is walkable from churchgate station, which is a genuine advantage.
good for remote workers who need consistency over excitement. the lower parel location is near phoenix mills, which is convenient for lunch options.
verdict: reliable south mumbai option. pick this if you value convenience over character.
the others
5. awfis
bkc, andheri, lower parel / hot desk rs 9,000/month / day pass rs 350 / 8/10
awfis is the most spread-out coworking chain in mumbai. they have locations everywhere, which means you can use any awfis across the city with one membership. for someone who moves between areas, this flexibility is valuable.
the spaces are standardized - clean, well-lit, functional. not as polished as wework, not as community-driven as 91springboard, but reliably decent. the day pass at rs 350 is the cheapest among the major chains.
verdict: best for flexibility. one membership, multiple locations across mumbai.
6. innov8
bkc, andheri / hot desk rs 11,000/month / day pass rs 500 / 8/10
innov8 (now part of oyo) occupies the mid-premium segment. the spaces are colorful, well-designed, and have a young energy. the amenities include a gaming area, nap pods, and a decent cafe.
the pricing is between awfis and wework. the quality is genuinely good - the furniture is comfortable, the wifi is fast, and the meeting rooms are well-equipped.
verdict: best mid-range premium coworking. good balance of price, quality, and amenities.
11. regus
multiple locations / hot desk rs 10,000/month / day pass rs 500 / 7/10
regus is the corporate legacy player. the spaces feel like traditional offices - plain, functional, no personality. but they’re everywhere (6+ locations in mumbai), the infrastructure is reliable, and the global network means your membership works in any regus worldwide.
for corporate travelers who need a desk in mumbai occasionally, regus makes sense. for full-time use, you’re better off with wework or 91springboard.
verdict: corporate and functional. best for occasional use with global travel.
12. smartworks
andheri, bkc / hot desk rs 8,000/month / day pass rs 400 / 7/10
smartworks focuses on enterprise clients. the spaces are designed for teams of 5-50, with private offices, dedicated internet lines, and corporate-grade security. less useful for individual freelancers, well-suited for small companies.
verdict: best for small teams needing private office infrastructure.
mumbai vs pune coworking: honest comparison
since i’ve tested 12 coworking spaces in pune extensively, here’s the honest comparison:
| mumbai | pune | |
|---|---|---|
| average hot desk price | rs 10,000-14,000/month | rs 6,000-10,000/month |
| cheapest option | bhive, rs 6,000/month | the daftar, rs 5,500/month |
| premium option | wework bkc, rs 16,000 | wework eleven west, rs 12,000 |
| best community | 91springboard | 91springboard |
| day pass average | rs 400-600 | rs 300-500 |
| commute factor | major issue | minor issue |
| cafe alternatives | limited | excellent |
| food near spaces | good | very good |
pune wins on value. mumbai wins on scale and options. the biggest difference is commute - in pune, any coworking space is 30 minutes away max. in mumbai, choosing the wrong location can mean 90 minutes each way. choose by location first, brand second.
